Crazy Eights
2–7 players · Standard 52-card deck · 10–20 min per hand
Goal: First to empty your hand wins.
Setup
- 2 players: deal 7 each
- 3+ players: deal 5 each
- Rest = face-down stock; flip top card to start discard pile
- Starter is an 8? Bury it and flip again
Your turn
- Play 1 card matching the top card's SUIT or RANK
- Or play an 8 (wild) and name any suit
- Can't play? Draw until you can (you may draw even if you can play)
- Stock empty and stuck? Pass
Special cards
- 8Wild — name the next suit
Scoring
- 8 = 50
- K, Q, J = 10
- A = 1
- 2–10 = face value
- Winner scores opponents' cards · first to 100
Don't forget
- Next player follows the CALLED suit after an 8
- You can go out on an 8
- Save 8s for emergencies
